B16: In Motion

Three choreographers, ten dancers – one performance. B16: In Motion isn’t asking for attention – it demands it.

Østfold Theatre is proud to present B16 at cultural venues across Østfold!

B16 is an Oslo-based dance collective of women with roots in street and club dance. When they take to the stage in Halden, Fredrikstad, Sarpsborg, Moss and Askim, they do so with an expression that has rarely found its way onto professional stages in Norway.

Renowned choreographers Mounia Nassangar (FR), Oulouy Nicol (CI/FR/ES) and Camilla Tellefsen (NO) have each created a piece especially for B16. The result is a performance that moves from the intimate to the explosive and reflects both global impulses and personal experiences.

For some, B16: In Motion will be a sense of recognition. For others, it will be a discovery. But no one leaves the auditorium unaffected by what B16 brings with them when they take to the stage!

Come dance!

Our ‘plus programme’ B16: In Motion+ is an expanded range of activities that we hope will open up the stage and auditorium to more people: From April 2026, you’ll be able to experience pop-ups, talks, workshops and more linked to the performance, allowing you to get to know both the dancers and the dance long before we open the doors to the performance!

This is how we bring professional dance closer to audiences in the county, through participation, recognition and ownership. Would you like to take part in an activity, or would your dance group like to aim to join the performance itself, which will eventually be staged at the cultural centres?
