DUS – Den unge scenen, 2027
From February 12-14, 2027, Østfold International Theater invites theater groups in Østfold participating in DUS – Den unge scenen (The Young Stage) to a regional festival. Groups wishing to participate must register by spring 2026.
The Young Stage (DUS) is a nationwide project that develops stage texts for and with young people aged 13 to 19. Around 80 youth groups from across the country participate in DUS, which is held every other year. Østfold Theater hosts the regional gathering and festival in Østfold.

Want to join?
By joining DUS, your theater group will have the opportunity to perform newly written plays for young people and meet theater enthusiasts from other participating groups. At a regional festival at Østfold Theater in April 2027, groups from different parts of the region will meet to participate in workshops and watch each other’s performances.
Regional coordinators and professional advisory board
The producer for DUS Østfold is Anette Havna Tømmerholen, email: anette@oit.no.
Professional advisor Cecilie Jørstad will follow up with educators/group leaders and visit the groups twice during the period they are working on designing their performances.
During the regional festival, all groups will receive feedback on their performances from a professional advisory board consisting of professional actors. Names to be announced.
Viktige datoer for DUS 2027
February–April 2026: Groups can register
May 2026: Texts and concepts are sent out.
September 18–20, 2026: Seminar for group leaders in Hamar.
November 21–22, 2026: Kickoff for all participating groups at Østfold Theater in Fredrikstad!
February 12–14, 2027: Regional DUS festival in Fredrikstad
May 20–22, 2027: Nationwide festival at Det Norske Teatret in Oslo.
